Infographic Presentation – Guidelines for submission
We invite you to submit and showcase your research work as an infographic for the upcoming 14th National Congress of AORA, to be held at Hyderabad, India
Submissions can be made under the following categories
- Regional Anaesthesia – USGRA, PNS Guided Blocks, LA Pharmacology, Central Neuraxial & Paravertebral Blocks, Peripheral Nerve Blocks, Fascial Plane blocks
- Cadaveric Studies pertaining the regional anaesthesia, POCUS or Chronic Pain
- Point of Care USG
- Chronic Pain & Musculoskeletal Interventions
- Obstetric Labour Analgesia
- Complications of RA/Chronic pain
- Paediatric Regional Anaesthesia
- USG guided Vascular Access
Format
- Infographics must be submitted via the submission link below in JPG or PNG format, saved at the highest resolution.
- The resolution of the submission should be atleast 1920 x 1080. (Landscape). Please note that the infographic will be displayed on an LCD screen and must conform to these dimensions.
- The file size must not exceed 10 MB.
Content
- Infographics should contain original content and visuals that effectively communicate key information in a visually engaging and concise manner.
- All text, images, and data used in the infographic must be properly cited if sourced from external references.
- Infographics should incorporate evidence-based information and adhere to scientific accuracy and integrity.
Design Guidelines
- Infographics should have a clear and logical layout, with sections organized in a sequential manner to guide the viewer through the content.
- Use of colors, fonts, and graphics should be visually appealing and enhance readability without overwhelming the viewer.
- Avoid clutter and ensure that the infographic is easy to understand at a glance.
Judging Criteria
- Infographics will be evaluated based on clarity, creativity, relevance, scientific accuracy, visual appeal, and overall impact.
- Judges will consider the effectiveness of the infographic in conveying complex medical information to a diverse audience, including healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public.
Guidelines & Information for Infographic Submissions
- Infographics will be screened and then shortlisted through a blinded peer review process.
- Selected infographics will be invited to present their work in an online session, to the panel of judges prior to the conference. The date for this presentation will be intimated at a later time.
- Infographics that have been shortlisted will be displayed on LCD screens during the duration of the conference in AORA India 2024 at Hyderabad.
- Only the top 3 Infographics shortlisted from the online screening will be allowed to present their work to the audience in the infographics category at AORA India 2024 in Hyderabad.
- Rights of acceptance/rejection rests with the scientific committee. In the case of rejection, no explanation will be offered for the same.
- The decision of the judges is final and binding.
- All presenters of papers will receive certificates for the same (Including for the online presentation)
- The last date of submission is 30th June 2024
Eligibility Requirements
- Infographics that have been previously presented, published nationally or internationally are not allowed.
- All anesthesiologists, including post graduate trainees are eligible for participation.
- The presenting author must be mandatorily registered for AORA India 2024 before the online screening process, once his/her infographic is accepted.
- *All infographics submitted by Post Graduates should be authorized with a PG Bonafide Certificate from the head of the department. The scanned document/picture MUST be uploaded along with the submission. The same is required to avail the PG rates for conference registration.
- The abstract committee reserves the right to ask for relevant documents during the process of screening to support the data. Failure to produce the same may result in disqualification.
- By submitting an infographic to the competition, participants grant permission for the organizers to display, reproduce, and distribute the infographic for promotional and educational purposes related to the conference with due credit to the participant.
- Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for copyrighted material used in their infographics. AORA will not be held responsible for infringement of copyrighted material.
- Infographic submissions must adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines, including respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Infographics that violate any of the competition rules or fail to meet the specified criteria may be rejected/disqualified at the discretion of the judging panel.
