This segment will delve into the principles of pharmacology specifically as they apply to pediatric regional anesthesia, preparing attendees for a deeper understanding of the medication-related aspects of the procedures.

  • Focus on basic pediatric blocks including Caudal blocks, Lumbar epidural, Subclavian perivascular, Axillary, Infraclavicular, Sciatic, and Femoral. This session is key for understanding the practical application of pediatric regional anesthesia.

Extended Discussion on Advanced Blocks

  • Presenter: Dr Suresh Santhanam
  • An extended discussion overlapping with G.D's lecture to introduce and explain relevant pediatric facial plane blocks like QL (Quadratus Lumborum), ESP (Erector Spinae Plane), Paravertebral, FICB (Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block), and SIFI (Superficial and Deep Inguinal). This part of the session aims to broaden the scope of techniques available to practitioners, focusing on advances and innovations in pediatric regional anesthesia.
